PROGRAMS
It is the philosophy of St. Luke’s MDO that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security,
exploration and discovery.  Preschool children are creative and receptive, and our program strives to
nurture and encourage these qualities for the children.

ABOUT OUR STAFF
All of our classroom teachers have previous experience working with preschool age children, most in
settings such as daycare, other MDO programs and preschools.  All are mothers themselves, and all have
undergone a background check with the Alabama Department of Human Resources.

ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION
Children who are from 12 months (one year) to 48 months (four years) of age are eligible to enroll in St.
Luke’s MDO.  Admission requirements and enrollment procedures are as follows:
1.  Every child MUST have a blue immunization form that is current with a doctor’s signature.  Please
submit this form the first day of class for your child.  YOU MUST SUBMIT this form before we can keep
your child.  A handwritten copy listing the shots your child has received is not acceptable.  It is the parents'
responsibility to update the immunization form after each shot.
2.  The MDO Director must be informed of any known allergies your child may have, in writing, before the
child can be admitted to the MDO Program.
3.  Our classroom teachers are not qualified to work with children with special handicaps, medical
conditions and/or disabilities, nor are St. Luke’s Church facilities specifically designed to accommodate the
needs of such children.   

Days and Hours of Operation
Regular session, including Fall, Winter, and Spring, begins mid-August and ends mid-May.  We are open
Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Fees*
Regular fees for Fall, Winter, and Spring are as follows:
Registration:      $50.00 per child
Registration fees are payable at registration to ensure a position in the program.  Registration fees are not
refundable and non transferable, unless we at St. Luke’s MDO cancel the program.
Supply Fee:        $ 40.00 per child
Supply fees are payable at registration to ensure all accounting records are kept up to date.  Supply fees
are not refundable and are non transferable, unless we at St. Luke’s MDO cancel the program.
Tuition:               $15.00 per day per child
Tuition payments are due on the first of the month.

Summer Program Fees*:
2 & 3 Year olds ONLY
Hours of Operation: 8:00AM to 12:00PM
Registration:       $40.00 per child
This program is five weeks long and starts in mid-June and ends the last week of July.
Supply Fee:        $ 20.00 per child

are not refundable and are non transferable, unless we at St. Luke’s MDO cancel the program.
Tuition:                $15.00 per day.  
ALL tuition fees are due and payable on the first day of the Summer program.
